Set against the red hills of Bullara Station, this shoot was about watching the Bullara Jillaroos work cattle and move on horseback with a confidence that comes from growing up in the saddle. Calm, assured and instinctive, their connection to horse and country felt effortless and earned.
There was no performance here — just skill shaped by time, repetition and place. Grace, strength and capability woven into everyday life on the land.
These are the moments I’m drawn to photograph. People in their element, grounded in country, where the story doesn’t need embellishment — it’s already there.
